Air Force acquisition center has new leader
Lt. Gen. John "Jack" Hudson will lead the Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
A new commander today took over the largest acquisition organization in the Air Force Materiel Command.
Lt. Gen. John "Jack" Hudson was chosen to lead the Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. He replaces Gen. William Looney, who took command of Air Education and Training Command in June.
Hudson previously served as the assistant deputy undersecretary of the Air Force for international affairs and the senior military assistant to the undersecretary of defense for acquisition and technology.
As Aeronautical Systems Center commander, Hudson is the program executive officer for aircraft procurement and modernization, overseeing a $19 billion budget and a workforce of more than 12,000 people deployed globally.
