Cipicchio leads DOD policy

Domenico Cipicchio

Henrik G. de Gyor

Veteran contracting and procurement specialist Domenico Cipicchio is the new acting director for defense procurement and acquisition policy.

Cipicchio, the previous deputy director of policy in the Defense Department procurement office, replaces Deidre Lee, who last week became assistant commissioner of the Federal Acquisition Service's Integrated Technology Services.

Cipicchio advised Lee in several areas, including small and disadvantaged business, service contracting, pricing issues and commercial-item procurements.

Lee will oversee technology and professional services contracts, the acquisition workforce and development and delivery of major IT and telecommunications contracts, such as Networx and Alliant.
