Goal

Create a safer, more efficient way for suspects to appear before judges in the mostly rural state.

Solution

Polycom supplied a videoconferencing system

that includes an easy-to-use remote control.

Training usually takes less than an hour. T1 lines

were installed in all courtrooms and jails that have the system.

 

 

Payoff

The state saved about $30 million in transportation

costs in the first year of using the system.

Corrections employees don't have to spend hours transporting suspects. Reducing transportation

time is safer for prisoners and corrections

workers.
