The smaller it gets

The newest notebook from rugged mobile-computing provider Getac Inc. of San Diego comes with a 14.1-inch screen, but offers an optional 15-inch screen.

The MobileForce M220 screen can withstand jarring and bending that can occur in military applications. The notebook uses Getac's encasement design around the display, which is sunlight readable. The 8.6-pound notebook has an Intel 1.4-GHz Dothan LV processor and low power consumption.

The M220 has a bay that can accommodate an optical drive, another hard drive or a second battery. It also has a removable hard drive for security and to let multiple users securely share one notebook.
