The Air Force Research Laboratory wants to build a modular data network that can integrate everything from tactical unmanned aerial vehicles to ground forces.

The lab is planning a broad agency announcement for its Quint Networking Technology Program. In a draft broad agency announcement, the lab said it wants to award contracts to at least two vendors or teams of vendors to design, develop, evaluate and demonstrate robust and affordable multiband data link technologies for weapons, unmanned aerial vehicles and ground troops.
