HHS starts A-76 competition

The Health and Human Services Department has begun an A-76 review for IT and help-desk support for its human resources systems.

The Office of Management and Budget A-76 Circular competition involves 75 federal workers at the program support center serving the Human Resources Services' Enterprise Applications Division. HHS expects to award a five-year contract by Sept. 15, 2005.

A-76 is a process to evaluate whether commercial services performed by government workers should be outsourced to the private sector. HHS posted the notice about the A-76 review on FedBiz
