SRA's Volgenau steps down as CEO

SRA International Inc.'s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ernst Volgenau is ceding the CEO title to company President Renato DiPentima, effective Jan. 1.

Volgenau founded Fairfax, Va.-based SRA 26 years ago. DiPentima, who will continue serving as president, joined SRA in 1995 after a career at the Social Security Administration.

Other promotions effective Jan. 1 include David Kriegman to chief operating officer, Anthony Valletta to director of SRA's defense sector, and Patrick Burke to director of command and control, communications and intelligence sector.

SRA board member David Langstaff will chair a long-range planning committee focusing on the growth and diversification of SRA.
