SI wins Air Force research lab contract

SI International Inc. won a three-year, $3.8 million contract from the Air Force Research Laboratory's Information Directorate in Rome, N.Y., to provide scientific, engineering and administrative services for the lab's Multi-Sensor Exploitation Branch, the company said today.
The branch researches information intelligence collection, processing and dissemination. Under the Complex Adaptive Signals and Systems contract, SI International will apply new developments in complexity and information theory to improve signal-processing techniques, the company said.
Research Associates of Syracuse Inc., as subcontractor, will work on the detection of electronic intelligence signals.
Based in Reston, Va., SI International provides IT and network solutions primarily for the federal government. The company employs about 1,900 people and had revenue of $168.3 million in 2003. It is No. 66 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
