General Dynamics takes on sub work

General Dynamics Corp. won a $50 million contract from the Navy to provide systems engineering, operational support and repair, installation and checkout work on the Trident II fire control system.

General Dynamics Corp. won a $50 million contract from the Navy to provide systems engineering, operational support and repair, installation and checkout work on the Trident II fire control system, the company said today.

The company's advanced information systems in Arlington, Va., will perform the work in Pittsfield, Mass. General Dynamics expects to complete the work by March 2007.

Falls Church, Va.-based General Dynamics employs about 69,400 workers worldwide and had 2003 revenue of $16.6 billion. The company is No. 6 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of government contractors.
