Florida city opts for Motorola

Motorola Inc. has closed a deal with Destin, Fla., to provide the city with its customer relationship management system, hosting the application at the company's Schaumburg, Ill., data center.

Initially, Destin will use Motorola's Customer Service Request system to handle project approvals and speed review of building permits and licenses. Greg Kisela, Destin city manager, said businesses will be able to check their project status and request information at the city's Web site. Destin plans to use the system for other city services as well.
