Veritas buys stake in McNeil Tech

	Veritas Capital Fund II LP bought for an undisclosed amount a majority stake in McNeil Technologies Inc., a Springfield, Va., provider of professional and technical services to government.

Veritas Capital Fund II LP bought for an undisclosed amount a majority stake in McNeil Technologies Inc., a Springfield, Va., provider of professional and technical services to government.

Veritas Capital, a New York private equity firm, will use McNeil Technologies as a platform company to acquire other firms, said James McNeil, the company's founder, chairman and chief executive officer.

McNeil Technologies offers information management and consulting, language and security services to government clients, including the Defense and Justice departments, intelligence agencies, other federal agencies and some state agencies.

In January, McNeil Technologies bought research firm Evaluation Associates Inc., Chapel Hill, N.C.
