A press conference June 21 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington kicked off Verizon's donation of 5,000 prepaid calling cards to soldiers wounded in Operation Iraqi Freedom. The cards were distributed to wounded soldiers at Army hospitals throughout the country.

Veterans Ken Force (left) and Chris Rasmussen teach children the proper way to fold an American flag during Kids' Day at the 24th Annual National Veterans Wheelchair Games in St. Louis, organized by the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Adam Scott (left) won the 2004 Booz Allen Classic golf tournament with a record-tying score of 21-under- par 263. This was the 25th anniversary of this annual PGA Tour event, which took place June 21-27 at the Tournament Players Club at Avenel in Potomac, Md. Booz Allen Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ralph Shrader presented the trophy.
