A press conference June 21 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington kicked off Verizon's donation of 5,000 prepaid calling cards to soldiers wounded in Operation Iraqi Freedom. The cards were distributed to wounded soldiers at Army hospitals throughout the country.

Adam Scott (left) won the 2004 Booz Allen Classic golf tournament with a record-tying score of 21-under- par 263. This was the 25th anniversary of this annual PGA Tour event, which took place June 21-27 at the Tournament Players Club at Avenel in Potomac, Md. Booz Allen Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ralph Shrader presented the trophy.
