GD wraps up Spectrum Astro buy

General Dynamics Corp. of Falls Church, Va., closed its acquisition of Spectrum Astro Inc. for an undisclosed sum.

General Dynamics entered into a definitive agreement in March to buy the manufacturer of space systems, satellites and ground-support equipment.

Spectrum Astro, Gilbert, Ariz., has about 525 employees, who now report to General Dynamics' C4 Systems unit in Scottsdale, Ariz.
