The General Services Administration has proposed a rule requiring it to give show-cause notice to contractors that are being considered for suspension or debarment from federal contracting.

Currently, GSA must notify a contractor only after it has taken such action. The agency suspended or debarred 113 contractors in 2003, according to the proposed rule.

GSA is accepting public comments on the rule until Aug. 17 at www.regulations.gov or by e-mail at gsarcase.2004-G502@gsa.gov. Cite GSAR case 2004-G502 in comments.
