Raytheon wins DARPA funds

	The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has awarded $8 million in funding to Raytheon Co., Waltham, Mass., to develop a multitiered, mobile, ad hoc network for the Army's Future Combat Systems program.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has awarded $8 million in funding to Raytheon Co., Waltham, Mass., to develop a multitiered, mobile, ad hoc network for the Army's Future Combat Systems program.

The technology will use low-band and high-band directional antennas to give warfighters access to high-quality data at very high data rates, the company said.
