New air traffic system takes off
The Federal Aviation Administration accepted the first installation of its new air traffic management system for aircraft flying over U.S. oceanic airspace.

ATOP lets controllers reduce the space between airborne aircraft, which improves fuel and routing efficiency and increases international airspace capacity.
