SBA extends comment deadline
The Small Business Administration last week extended to July 2 the deadline to comment on its proposed changes to the way the government defines small businesses.
The agency has received 1,300 comments since publishing its proposal March 19 in the
Federal Register, an SBA spokesman said.

New air traffic system takes off
The Federal Aviation Administration accepted the first installation of its new air traffic management system for aircraft flying over U.S. oceanic airspace.
FAA's Oakland, Calif., en route and oceanic center is the first site for the Advanced Technologies and Oceanic Procedures system, built by Lockheed Martin Corp. and installed April 29 after testing. ATOP lets controllers reduce the space between airborne aircraft, which improves fuel and routing efficiency and increases international airspace capacity.
