DigitalNet Inc, Herndon, Va. Whitkop has 25 years of IT experience in the Navy, including a role in strategic development of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet.
David Borland, who in January resigned his post as Army deputy CIO at the Pentagon, has joined the board of directors for
Telos Corp., Ashburn, Mass. Borland, who earned numerous awards during his 30-year career, including the Distinguished Presidential Rank Award in 2000, will advise Telos, which specializes in secure wireless networks, messaging and systems integration.
E. DeVere Henderson, formerly president and CEO of Technical Enterprise Solutions Inc., has been named a fellow at Washington-based
Zazi Strategic Inc., which offers strategic advisory services to senior executive teams, boards of directors and advisory boards. Henderson will focus on business development and organizational analysis and management services to business and government in aeronautics.
Jon Ver Steeg has been named vice president of finance at Atlanta-based
VistaScape Security Systems. The company supplies wide area surveillance products to facilities such as airports, harbors and power plants. Ver Steeg comes to VistaScape following six years in financial management roles at Internet Security Systems Inc.
James Buchanan has resigned as COO for Convera Corp. to accept appointment as chief financial officer at
Peopleclick Inc., Raleigh, N.C. Buchanan will support what Peopleclick calls "its aggressive growth goals, including a planned public offering."
Volo Communications Inc., Orlando, Fla., has named
Mark Richards as its new COO. Richards joins next-generation telecom provider Volo from Epicus Communications, where he has been acting CEO for the past two years.
