Brief: Calif. plans DSS system

The California Health and Welfare Agency wants a decision support system for its management information system. The request for proposals should be out in July. The project is valued at $924,000.

The agency's Health Services Department works to protect and improve the health of all citizens in the state. The department is responsible for reducing preventable disease, disabilities and premature deaths. It also works on health-care access and health-care reform issues.
