Solley named NCI president, COO

Michael Solley

NCI Information Systems Inc., Reston, Va., named Michael Solley as president and chief operating officer. Solley most recently was president and chief executive officer of MTC Technologies Inc. of Dayton, Ohio.

At NCI, Solley will be responsible for day-to-day operations and will direct the growth strategy, including acquisitions and winning new business. He will report to Charles Narang, CEO of NCI.

NCI is a provider of IT security, enterprise services, systems development and integration, information management and engineering and technical services. The privately held company has about 1,400 employees.

Before joining MTC in 2000, Solley was president of the government segment for Nichols Research Corp., Huntsville, Ala., which was acquired by Computer Sciences Corp. in 1999. He guided MTC through an initial public offering in 2002.
