service providers. State agencies use the contract to buy IT services. The request for
proposals is expected in December.

 Electronic case files

The New York Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance is planning an electronic
case folder system as the first part of a modernization project. The system will aggregate
data and case documents from existing systems to bring new case management abilities to
workers' desktops. An RFP is expected in mid-October.

Forms management

The Texas Department of Transportation plans to buy an enterprise forms management
system for its districts and headquarters. The electronic forms will automate basic
administrative tasks. The RFP is expected by the end of the year.

Server hosting

The Minnesota Metropolitan Council wants to hire a contractor to provide managed server
hosting for its Web site. The council is a planning agency for the seven counties around
Minneapolis and St. Paul. The Web site has about 1,800 pages. Managed server hosting
includes personnel, service, software, hardware and connectivity. The RFP should be out by
the end of the year.

 E-gov services

The Albuquerque, N.M., Information Services Division is looking for vendors to provide
e-government services. The RFP is expected by the end of the year. Online services include
business transactions, such as obtaining city services, paying for permits and business
