Four Win Mega Deal

Affiliated Computer Services Inc., Dallas; Aspen Systems Corp., Rockville, Md.; CACI International Inc., Arlington Va.; and Labat-Anderson Inc., McLean, Va., have each won a position on a five-year, $950 million contract to provide automated litigation support services for the Justice Department.

Under the Mega 2 contract, the companies will compete to provide services such as document acquisition, database creation and use, specialized services in support of litigation, pre-trial and trial support, administrative support services and management and quality control.

According to the agency, computer expertise comprises 20 percent to 30 percent of the work involved, and additional legal capabilities are needed as well. The contract is also open to all federal agencies.
