GD Wins Army Contract

General Dynamics Corp., Falls Church, Va., won an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract worth up to $98 million to supply local telephone service for the Army.

General Dynamics Corp., Falls Church, Va., won an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract worth up to $98 million to supply local telephone service for the Army.

The life-cycle support contract has a base year total of $18 million with $98 million possible if the four option years are exercised. It supports the telephone switch system, including depot level
support, short-term and long-term field service support, remote diagnostics, emergency technical assistance, software and equipment upgrades and expansions, parts and material, training, technical data and extended service plan.

Work will be performed at Department of Defense installations worldwide. Completion is expected by Aug. 20, 2006.
