Epylon Snags Minneapolis Win

Epylon Corp. of San Francisco won a contract to provide electronic procurement services for the Minneapolis public school system.

Epylon Corp. of San Francisco won a contract to provide electronic procurement services for the Minneapolis public school system.

Deloitte Consulting of New York, which owns a minority stake in Epylon, will support the implementation and provide change management services to meet the needs of the district, said Epylon officials.

The first phase of the project includes six purchasing professionals and six suppliers from Epylon's supplier network. The school system eventually will have access to more than 1,600 local and national vendors through the network.

Minneapolis Public Schools is the largest school district in Minnesota, with 128 sites and 49,000 students.
