Covansys Gets Child Support Work

Covansys, formerly Complete Business Solutions Inc., won a $22 million, two-year contract from Indiana's Family and Social Services Administration to maintain and enhance a statewide child support information and disbursement system.

Covansys, formerly Complete Business Solutions Inc., won a $22 million, two-year contract from Indiana's Family and Social Services Administration to maintain and enhance a statewide child support information and disbursement system. The contract also has an option for a two-year renewal.

The Indiana Support Enforcement Tracking System was developed to meet federal and state regulations and received federal certification in July 2000. Covansys, a technology services company in Farmington Hills, Mich., provides similar services in North Carolina, Ohio and several other states.

Covansys was a subcontractor to IBM Corp. of Armonk, N.Y., when IBM designed the child support system in 1995. Covansys won the first maintenance contract in 1998.
