Acquisition Solutions Inc., a provider of performance management solutions to the federal sector, is changing its name to ASI Government effective Sept. 1.

“The renaming is the next step in affirming the company’s expansion into management disciplines adjacent to acquisition,” ASI said in a statement today.

“The name change reflects a major investment by our firm to deliver a broad array of research, consulting, training and tools to help government agencies deliver better results,” said ASI President and CEO Anne Reed in the statement.

“We have significantly strengthened our expertise and client base in such disciplines as change management, information technology management, and program and portfolio management,” she said.

Jeremy Grant, ASI's chief development officer, said the company will explain the name change to clients throughout the summer and affirm its continued commitment to providing the insight, strategy and results they expect.

Earlier this year, ASI purchased a majority stake in ICOR Partners LLC, gaining considerable information technology portfolio and program management capabilities, the company said.

At the time, Reed said ICOR Partners would broaden her company’s footprint in the civilian government market because “ICOR perfectly complements our expertise in acquisition, program management and knowledge management.”
