Acumen unveils cloud computing for government agencies

Find opportunities — and win them.

Acumen Solutions Inc. has launched a cloud computing practice for government clients.

The Vienna, Va., technology consulting firm will offer customized software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions to government agencies, company officials said today.

The dedicated Public Sector Cloud Computing Practice has developed methodologies that make rapid integration of SaaS possible while satisfying stringent privacy, security, disaster recovery and data center requirements for government agencies, the officials said.

Acumen is the first consulting firm to provide a broad set of cloud computing solutions complete with strategy, business processes, as well as systems integration and customization, they added.

“We are seeing government agencies adopt SaaS solutions for mission critical applications similar to how their Fortune 500 peers have been leveraging and gaining benefits from SaaS for the past several years,” said Jay Tansing, managing director of the company's Public Sector Practice.
