STRICOM Training Program Adds 17 Companies

The Army has selected 17 companies for a third set of training activities within its $4 billion, eight-year program to revamp training and simulation services.The Army's Simulation, Training & Instrumentation Command Omnibus Acquisition contract is divided into four disciplines, or lots. The awards announced Jan. 25 were for lot III, the virtual domain, for replication of actual warfighting equipment, systems and munitions with the capability to execute individual, crew and collective training, experimentation and rehearsal in a specific environment.All the military services may use the STRICOM contract to purchase training and simulation systems and services.
